Dreamland has already been awarded three prestigious awards; Creative Child 2010 CD of the Year (to be officially announced before the 2010 winter holiday season), the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval and a Parent’s Choice “Recommended” award. I am so proud and grateful!
Dreamland continues to receive rave reviews! Here’s what people are saying:
“Our parent reviewers could not say enough about how much they loved this beautiful, calming musical CD. They loved it because of the fact that their children embraced it and listened to it constantly but more importantly for the effect it had on them. One mother went so far as to point out that her rambunctious boy’s frenetic pace would come to a screeching halt within moments of putting this CD on. Slowing things down with its mellow and relaxing musical didn’t just work its magic on kids. Many parents reported that they used it themselves to unwind, describing it as perfect to listen to during a bath or right before bedtime. The voices are very soothing and each song has a calm, captivating quality.”

“Inspired by the birth of her first child, Minnesota singer Tristana Ward has created the aptly named Dreamland CD. The title perfectly describes the lush, dreamy soundscapes on this album of ten lullabies, which draw from both traditional and pop sources. Ward has a strong, pleasant voice, with just a touch of twang to it; comparisons to Martina McBride or Mary Chapin Carpenter would not be out of place. She is backed by many of Los Angeles’ finest film and soundtrack musicians, who perform sweeping orchestral arrangements of songs such as “Rainbow Connection (Kermit’s Theme),” Mary Chapin Carpenter’s “Dreamland,” Kenny Loggins’ classic “Return to Pooh Corner,” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s lilting “Edelweiss.” Traditional songs such as “All Through the Night,” and “Now The Day is Over” (with additional lyrics by Ward), are also given similar somnolent, luxuriant arrangements. This lovely album will help promote quiet time and serve as a perfect primer for bedtime.”

“Tristana Ward’s lovely and soothing vocals float effortlessly above and around these ten beautifully produced and orchestrated classic and traditional lullabies. I fell asleep ten times trying to finish this review so I know firsthand that this album works – see you in Dreamland.”

“Her voice is not too fancy, not too quiet. It’s perfect.”
- Delilah from DidiPop, age 5
Thanks so much to all of you who have already purchased the album. I hope you are enjoying it and if so, please spread the word!
